retawq

Welcome to the home page of the retawq project. retawq is an interactive, multi-threaded network client (web browser) for text terminals on computers with Unix-like operating systems. It is written in C, fast, small, nicely configurable, and comfortable; e.g. the low-level network communications are performed in a non-blocking way, and you can keep open as many "virtual windows" as you want and work simultaneously in two of them in a split-screen mode. (Features Overview)

Requirements: a Unix-like operating system; a C compiler to build an executable program from the source code (e.g. gcc); recommended: a "curses" library for terminal control (e.g. ncurses) and a pthreads (Posix threads) library

Download version 0.2.6c via HTTP mirrors or FTP (released 19 March 2006; 384 KB; gzipped archive file containing source code and documentation); release notes; old versions (deprecated); MD5 checksums; general information

Platform-specific files and packages available at other locations: SuSE RPMs (Linux); FreeBSD; Darwin Ports (Mac OS X)

retawq is used in the following distributions: slimlinux; ttylinux; Xwoaf
